German Type Mess Kits Eastern BlockPost war manufactured WWII German pattern mess kits in good, clean, lightly used condition. These are either Hungarian or Romanian in origin but are extremely close to the WWII German mess kit. Better built than repros, and a better match for WWII German than most post war models. The paint color is not perfect but is still pretty good, very passible as is. See comparison photo to a WWII German one. The kits do not appear to have any markings. Price

Good for the price but will not repurchase

My husband loved these at first.
Pros
-easy to get on/off
-stylish
-comfortable
-interior/exterior sole construction lasted longer than other more expensive shoes
-price is great
Cons
-after less than a year the mouth of the shoe widened to a point where they slide off way too easy rendering them almost unwearable.
-laces cannot be tightened
