Unfortunately, its manufacturer's marking has faded but it appears to have been produced by Bates Shoe Co. It features a green painted steel buckle, second pattern spring clips, and a rare variation only seen on mid 1942 examples the fabric on the reverse was stitched over the leather's fold. This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non painted steel A washers
