Doepfer A-118 Noise/RandomModule A 118 is a noise and random voltage generator. It produces white noise, coloured noise, and random voltage. White and coloured noise can be used as audio signals, and also (in conjunction with an S&H module) as a control voltage. The resulting random voltage is mainly used as a control voltage, especially because of its low frequency content.
