You can make the holes yourself, but this may cause light refraction. COMPLETE SET CONTAINS: Front Splitter, Side Skirt Diffusers, Rear Splitter (with vertical bars), and Spoiler cap Splitter is in black colour, it's ready for mounting. No need of any additional work, unless you want to paint it

Nice for cable management
Real metal so it is very sturdy and if you tighten your screw it will be very stable too. I out it next to my monitor mount which provide a nice setup for cable management. It fits perfectly to a VESA 100x100 mount. I have a similar setup in my office but under the desk which makes it versatile.
